~ Our Story ~

In January of 2020 I launched a new business called Sweet Pea Sprouts. In the beginning I had no idea what I wanted to do, other than to help people to eat more plant based foods, so with that in mind I started offering plant based cooking classes, doing plant based nutrition seminars, and selling my goods at local markets. And it was taking off! I had all kinds of classes and markets and even a few more seminars lined up when everything changed in March. I don’t need to tell you what happened. We were all there. My business, just like the rest of the world, stopped in its tracks.

I had to go back to being a full time mom while all my plans were put on hold indefinitely. I had no idea if or when any of the things I was doing would be able to start up again. So I watched, I waited, I bought masks and sanitized groceries, and I started baking and cooking like my life depended on it, which in hindsight, I think it kind of did.

My passion is to cook for others. I have been working in restaurants for over a decade, not because it is easy or lucrative, but because I love to make food that fills people’s bellies and gives them joy.

In March 2022, we opened a retail space to offer chef driven, plant based meals to you and your family. We hope to see you stop in for some tasty focaccia slices or some ready to eat bowls and salads. We also have delicious pre-made heat and eat meals to make your at home lunches and dinners that much more exciting. You can still purchase our subscription meal kits and pick up at our store.
